Digitalization

Digitalization of documents

Scanning, digitizing, or digital conversion of documents is the process of transformation from physical format (paper) into electronic format. The electronic format enables you to access your documents quickly, enables indexing, as well as automatic data extraction through optical character recognition (OCR) technology which, allows recognition of machine-written characters, print and even of those written by hand.   With state-of-the-art Kodak and HP technology as well as qualified staff, we can scan 100,000 pages per day.  Scanned documents can be delivered in any electronic format (jpg, tiff, rtf, pdf, searchable pdf at 75-1200 dpi, black and white, color or grayscale) on any media, microfilm, hard disk or media cloud. The formats of scanned documents range from the standard A4 format to the smaller atypical, A5-A6 (eg receipts, promissory notes, vouchers) or larger, up to A0 (the format of a sketch, plan architectural or poster).

Indexing

OpenText Enterprise Scan uses the most advanced capabilities to recognize documents and characters available in order to convert physical documents into computer-readable information. Enterprise Scan captures data from scanned images, prints and faxes using OCR, ICR, IDR, adaptive reading, and other technologies. Enterprise Scan reduces handling time, speeds data processing, improves quality, and saves money. Indexing of documents can be done manually or automatically, depending on the specifics of documents and the needs of a client.   Methods of capture and indexing:
  • OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
  • ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition)
  • IDR (Intelligent Document Recognition)
  • OHR (Optical Handwriting Recognition)
  • BCR (Bar Code Reader)
  • Manual
